What to expect

DAY ONE - HATO MATA DE PALMA

8:30 am – You will enter El Encanto de Guanapalo, it is always recommended to enter during the day because from the entrance you will be able to encounter herds of deer, morrocois, chigüiros and a great variety of birds, it is an appetizer of what you will enjoy for the next 4 days.

9:00am - You will arrive at Hato Mata de Palma, there. will receive them the Creole guide who will accompany you during all tours and will take care of to introduce them to this plains and native experience. 12:00 pm - Back at the ranch you will enjoy a delicious Creole lunch and then you will have a rest time on a chinchorro under a mango or cruzeto tree.< /p>

3:00 pm - They will go on the first horseback ride through the flooded savannahs towards Las Queseras, the meeting point of the 3 herds that make up the El Encanto de Guanapalo nature reserve. , a 3-5 hour tour where you will be able to see the great abundance of biodiversity that exists in our Natural Reserve such as birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and fish in their natural environment. Along the way they will share the plain supplies.

6:00 pm - On the way back to the Hato you will be able to appreciate an impressive plains sunset with its dazzling colors.

7:00 pm - You will enjoy a delicious outdoor dinner in front of the waterfall, and then rest in the rooms of Hato Mata de Palma.

DAY TWO - HATO MONTANA

5:00 am - You will wake up very early and with a coffee. Cerrero and typical llanero amasijo will go out to see the sunrise on a ride in a curiara (type of canoe) through the canyons of the reserve, where they will enjoy the calm waters and the sound of the birds that will accompany them ( Only in winter season May to November). They will be able to do artisanal fishing, they will learn about this traditional practice that the llaneros carry out with hooks for their subsistence.

7:00 am - They will return to the Hato to enjoy a delicious typical llanero breakfast with beech, torrejas and prepared.

9:00 am – In the company of their Guide they prepare to train their horses to go on the second horseback journey through the flooded savannahs to Hato Montana along the El Molino road.

On this tour you will be able to see anteaters and honeyeaters, owls that are small owls that nest on the ground, also foxes and a large number of birds. They will pass through the canyons on horseback where they will see chiguiros, babillas and herons.

11:00 am – You will arrive at Hato Montana and receive a prepared snack to refresh yourself and take some time to rest.

DAY THREE - HATO ALTAMIRA

1:00 pm – You will enjoy a delicious Creole Lunch and will be able to rest in the Chinchorros del Hato area.

3:00 pm – They will depart on a new journey to the Galapagos Garcero, where more than 15 species of herons nest, such as the corocoras, bony heron, and pallet heron, among others. Along the way you will also find birds such as the Orinoco goose, ducks, egrets and curlews.

5:00 pm – You will appreciate a beautiful sunset in the middle of the savannah with a delicious snack and return to the Hato.

7:00 pm – You will enjoy a delicious outdoor dinner and rest in the rooms of Hato Altamira.

DAY FOUR -  LEAVE A MARK

COMMERCIAL CONDITIONS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Given the particular conditions of the El Encanto de Guanapalo Natural Reserve, advance payments are necessary to begin the logistical organization of each service. This is why our cancellation policies are very delicate for our operation.
  • A service may be canceled without penalty up to one month before the service is provided. This means that, in ordinary situations, a service that is canceled one month before its provision will have a refund of 100% of the advance.
  • If the cancellation is made fifteen days before the service is provided, then there will be a penalty of 30% of the value quoted for the service. This means that it will be reintegrated 70% of the final value or 50% of the advance payments paid.
