Within the Natural Reserve we have 11 different trails for hiking, 6 different routes for horseback riding of up to 4 hours and more than 20km of 4x4 or tractor tours.

BIRD AND WILDLIFE WATCHING

What to expect

DAY ONE

8:30 am – You will enter the Encanto de Guanapalo, it is always recommended to enter during the day because from the entrance you will be able to find herds of deer, morrocois, chigüiros and a great variety of birds, it is an appetizer of what you will enjoy during the next 4 days ;as.

9:00 am - Arrival and reception with the implementation of our “Bio-safety Protocol”, with a snack we will welcome you and you will meet your Criollo Guide who will share With you the history of the herds, how they came together and formed the “El Encanto de Guanapalo Natural Reserve.”.

10:00 am - They will live the first experience, a Guided Walk along ecological trails where they will reconnoitre the surroundings of the herd and will be able to enjoy magical landscapes and the
richness of flora and fauna that the Natural Reserve has.

12:00 pm - Back at the ranch you will enjoy a delicious Creole lunch and then you will have a rest time on a chinchorro under a mango or cruzeto tree.< /p>

3:00 pm - They will go on their first Llanero Safari on horseback through the flooded savannahs, a 3-5 hour tour where they will be able to see the great abundance of biodiversity that exists in our Reserve Natural such as birds, mammals, amphibians, reptiles and fish in their natural environment. Along the way they will share the plain supplies.

6:00 pm - On the way back to the Hato you will be able to appreciate an impressive plains sunset with its dazzling
colors.

7:00 pm - You will enjoy a delicious dinner outdoors in front of the waterfall, and then rest in the rooms.

DAY TWO

6:00 am - You will wake up very early and with a coffee. Cerrero and typical llanero amasijo will go out to see the sunrise, their guide will take them. to live an experience typical of the llanero herds, they will live a Morning of milking and Work in the Corral accompanied by dairy songs
live this ancestral work and learn to milk a tame cow, they will link a foal, brush it and groom it. 

7:00 am - They will return to the Hato to enjoy a delicious typical llanero breakfast with beech, torrejas and
prepared.

9:00 am – They will go on a ride in a curiara (type of canoe) through the canyons of the reserve (winter season May to November), where they will enjoy the calm waters and the sound of the birds that accompanies them; plow They will be able to do artisanal fishing, they will learn from this traditional practice that the llaneros carry out with hooks for their subsistence.

11:00 am – They will receive a snack prepared to refresh themselves and will take some time to rest.

1:00 pm – They will enjoy a Creole lunch outdoors under the shade of a tree, then they will be able to rest in the hammock area of the Hato house.

3:00 pm – After a brief rest we will go out to visit the other two Hatos that make up the
Natural Reserve, on 4x4 tours that will allow you to appreciate the landscapes and be surprised by the wildlife that can be found on these tours.< /p>

5:00 pm – You will appreciate a beautiful sunset in the middle of the savannah with a delicious snack and return to the Hato.

7:00 pm – You will enjoy dinner outdoors accompanied by our Baquianos with their traditional Night of Myths, Holes and Legends. Where in the heat of a bonfire and torches you will listen to the cowboys narrate stories from the oral tradition of the region accompanied by the typical sounds of the plain.

8:30 pm - They will rest in the Hato's rooms.

DAY THREE

7:00 am - When you wake up you will enjoy a delicious typical llanero breakfast.

9:00 am – They will have a rest morning with the Crafts Workshop to see how, with natural resources, Creole cowboys create useful elements for typical work in the plains. Where the Creole will teach them to make a halter, harness or commandant with horsehair or leather like those used in horse implements.

1:00 pm – You will enjoy a delicious Creole Lunch.

COMMERCIAL CONDITIONS AND CANCELLATION POLICY

  • Given the particular conditions of the El Encanto de Guanapalo Natural Reserve, advance payments are necessary to begin the logistical organization of each service. This is why our cancellation policies are very delicate for our operation.
  • A service may be canceled without penalty up to one month before the service is provided. This means that, in ordinary situations, a service that is canceled one month before its provision will have a refund of 100% of the advance.
  • If the cancellation is made fifteen days before the service is provided, then there will be a penalty of 30% of the value quoted for the service. This means that it will be reintegrated 70% of the final value or 50% of the advance payments paid. 
  • If the cancellation is made eight days or less before the service is provided, then the penalty will be: 50% of the final value.
